Love tokens, snowdrops & Pancake Day traditions
February’s Folkletter is inspired by the old stories that sit between winter and spring, Candlemas light, snowdrops pushing through frozen ground, St Valentine’s bird lore and the joyful tumble of Pancake Day in the village square.
This month we celebrate both tenderness and tradition. Alongside gentle nods to Victorian love tokens and folklore flowers, you’ll also find references to Shrove Tuesday- the old custom of using up eggs and butter before Lent and the wonderfully chaotic English pancake races that have been run for centuries.
What’s included:
A hand-written February Folkletter
A hand-illustrated folklore print
A Victorian-inspired puzzle purse
A set of seasonal illustrated stickers
Each piece is designed and illustrated by me, printed on beautiful quality paper and posted to you like a letter from the village.
The February Folkletter isn’t just about Valentine’s romance, it’s about affection in all its forms, the comfort of shared traditions and the first hopeful signs that spring is coming.
A small envelope of folklore, sent with care 🤍
